What makes A
Good Fancy Dress Dropshipper?

There are several fancy dress dropshippers operating in the UK. Some are good, some are great and there is the
odd cowboy that need to be avoided at all costs.
So what seperates the good fancy dress dropshippers from the bad?
The first and most important thing you need to check are the delivery times and returns/cancellation policy.
Most fancy dress dropshippers understand that you need your shipment to your customer as soon as possible and will
usually make sure this happens within a week.
Occasionally of course this isn't going to happen but it needs to be the exception rather than the norm. If
problems do arise and your customer cancels because of delays you need to make sure the fancy dress dropshipper
will work with you to sort something out.
Most will hold the costume for you and then post it on to your next customer if the customer cancels due to none
arrival up to 14 days and any longer than that offer you the option of a full refund. Some won't issue a refund
unless the costume is 21 days or more late. There is even 1 called FancyDressDropship.com that asks you wait 28 days which is far too long.
The second thing fancy dress dropshippers need to provide are up to date stock reports. There is nothing worse
than ordering a costume from a supplier because their site is showing in stock only to be informed a day or
two later that 'sorry, its not actually in stock.'
Although some of the fancy dress costumes will be found at several dropshippers, most have lines only available
to them so picking the right partner when you first start out is important. It takes a lot of time collecting
pictures of the costumes, working out your prices and profit margins etc. You don't want to go through all that
only to discover after placing several orders that the service isn't as good as promised.
Read our reviews of fancy dress dropshippers and also search for other reviews and info by doing a Google search
for their domain name. Read the small print carefully and compare with other dropshippers. Avoid the ones who ask
you to wait 14 days or more and send an email to test response rates.
A good question to ask is about their sites stock levels. If the site shows in stock will it actually be in
stock or are stock levels manually updated whenever the owner gets a chance or can be bothered?
Check postal addresses and the about us page at each. You want a proper professional business not someone
operating from a spare bedroom in their spare time. The industry is full of cowboys who 6 months a go were selling
on Ebay and using a dropshipper themselves.
They then find the supplier in China and decide to cut out the middleman. Then they start selling to Ebay
sellers and offering a dropship service but they are merely playing at the game trying to make a fast few quid. You
are trying to build a business for the future and you need to keep away from these types of cowboys.
Choose a good fancy dress dropshipper and your business has a chance of success, pick a bad one and it has no
chance. It takes a long time to build a good feedback score at Ebay but it can be ruined very quickly!
